How it is built
- Sides run full height; top, bottom and dividers fit between them.
- Each door covers its bay, the side panel and half of the divider, with a 1.5 mm gap.
- Shelves are 2 mm shorter than the bay and 40 mm shallower, so cables pass behind them.
Common mistakes
- Making the stand narrower than the TV base. Leave at least 100 mm on each side so it doesn't look top-heavy.
- Forgetting cable holes in the back. Drill a 60 mm hole behind each bay before assembly.
Tools you need
- Track saw or table saw
- Drill/driver
- 35 mm hinge bit
- Edge banding iron
Frequently asked questions
How tall should a TV stand be?
The middle of the screen should be near seated eye level, about 1000–1070 mm from the floor. That makes a stand 450–650 mm tall: lower for big screens, higher for small ones.
Can I leave out the doors?
Yes: set “Doors on outer bays” to 0 and every bay stays open.
How wide should the stand be?
Wider than the TV: at least 100 mm more on each side. A 65 in TV is about 1440 mm wide, so a 1600 mm stand suits it.
