L Shaped Desk Plans
A corner desk made of two tops: a main top along one wall and a return along the other. Panel legs hold the free ends, two panels meet under the corner to form a rigid L-shaped leg, and modesty panels along both walls stop the desk from racking. It works as a computer desk or a home office desk, and is built entirely from sheet goods.

How it is built
- The two corner legs meet in an L under the corner: screw them together and to both tops.
- Modesty panels run along both walls under the tops; they are what keep the desk from racking.
- Join the two tops from below with a connector plate or two pocket screws so the surface stays flush.
Common mistakes
- Leaving out the modesty panels: an L desk on four panel legs sways.
- Making both sides 750 mm deep: the corner becomes hard to reach.

730–760 mm (29–30 in) as standard, or about 39% of your height. See our desk height guide.
